CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Operating in a responsible and sustainable manner is important to the CSI Group.

Whilst we run our business in line with the expectations of our global stakeholders, we also see corporate responsibility as a discipline that helps us to manage risks and maximise on the opportunities presented to us in a changing world.

We take our corporate responsibility across the group as an employer, partner, solutions provider, investor and consumer seriously.

The aim is to demonstrate these responsibilities through our corporate policies.

We focus our CSR in the following areas:

Modern Slavery Act 2015 Statement

Modern slavery is a criminal offence under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”). Modern slavery can occur in various forms, including servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

As a Group, CSI has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. CSI are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all CSI business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own businesses or those of our suppliers/customers.

In line with the requirements set out by the “Act”, with our core values and with our Corporate Social responsibilities, CSI are committed to recognising and delivering on our aim of the prevention of opportunities for modern slavery to occur within its businesses and supply chains.

CSI recognise the risks of Modern Slavery and deem the risk to be very low in our organisation. We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking and this is reflected in our Code of Conduct which highlights the Board’s commitment to take seriously our responsibility to help prevent the crime of modern slavery and human trafficking across our own business as well as those of our partners and suppliers.

CSI recognises that modern slavery practices can have severe, wide-ranging and long-lasting impacts on stakeholders and is therefore committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its own business and within its supply chain and expects its suppliers to adhere to the same standards.

The Group proactively evaluates the nature and extent of our exposure to the risk of modern slavery occurring in our supply chain. We consider that the risk of modern slavery occurring in our first-tier supply chain low due to our major suppliers being large industry leading organisations that have adopted their own anti-slavery policies and procedures.

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chains, we integrate modern slavery considerations into our supplier onboarding process and all affiliates are required to ensure that supplier contracts with new suppliers comply with our Code of Conduct. Furthermore, our affiliates are instructed to consider compliance with international laws, including those related to modern slavery, when evaluating potential suppliers.

We are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking from the outset of our recruitment process. Our recruitment policy adheres to the principles outlined in our CSR Policy and applies to all hires, whether through internal recruitment or external agencies.

Once employees join our team, we provide extensive support, education, and training. All new hires are informed about our ethical policies, which are accessible on our intranet and available to all staff. Annual mandatory refresher training on this topic is carried out via our portal on an annual basis for all employees. Any failure to uphold these ethical standards may result in disciplinary action, including potential dismissal.

We prioritise the continuity of our compliance monitoring program, ensuring all staff receive ongoing Anti-Bribery and Corruption training, which is also part of the induction for new employees. CSI will continue to scrutinise our supply chain, review the effectiveness of our program, and make necessary improvements.

CSI aim to encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith under this policy, even if they turn out to be mistaken.

These policies were last reviewed and updated on 5th August 2024.
